About the Author and Founder
Mr. Diya Younes
Educator, author, and founder of IStories
Diya is an educational writer specialising in Islamic studies, a longtime teacher and supervisor of Islamic education, and a father of five.
That combination, years in classrooms and years at home, gave him something rare: a deep, lived understanding of what children actually need, and what they are so often not getting.
Through his work, he watched children consume content that entertained but left nothing behind. Through his own family, he felt the quiet urgency of wanting something better, stories that do more than pass the time. Stories that shape a child's sense of who they are, nurture their character, and gently draw them closer to Allah and to goodness.
He also saw his fellow teachers struggling. Not for want of dedication, but for want of resources, meaningful Islamic education materials that genuinely connect with students and turn a lesson into an experience.
His belief is simple: children learn best through stories, and real education builds thinking, reflection, and understanding, not just memorisation.
IStories is where that belief became something real.
